Why Next Move Care exists

During his nursing career, Ali has met families at some of the most frightening and vulnerable moments of their lives. He has watched caring people struggle to understand medical language, discharge plans, placement decisions, hospice conversations, and systems they were never taught how to navigate.

He also learned that knowledge changes the balance of a conversation. When people understand what is happening, know which questions to ask, and have help organizing the next steps, they can participate more meaningfully in decisions affecting their lives.

Next Move Care is his commitment to bringing that knowledge, preparation, and human presence to people who need it. It is not about fighting healthcare professionals. It is about helping patients, families, and care teams work toward clearer, safer, and more realistic plans together.

Independence and conflicts

Potential matters are screened for conflicts before acceptance. Next Move Care does not accept payment in exchange for directing a person to a particular provider or facility.

The approach

Calm with families. Respectful with professionals. Firm when important questions remain unanswered. Written authorization, a defined scope, and realistic expectations come before active advocacy.

“Meaningful healthcare reform can begin with one person being heard when they might otherwise have been overlooked.”
